Featured Project: Shack - Album, singles, logo, web, and video _Autumn_Winter_2006

Description: EPK for the band Shack.
Brief: To produce and direct a 10 minute Electronic Press Kit for Shack to promote their forthcoming album. The EPK features an interview with the band, a track by track rundown of the album, Animations and live footage shot on location when the band toured with Oasis in November - December 2005.
Role: Production, Filming. Editing, Animation & Post Production.

Description: Album Design for Shack's “...the corner of Miles & Gil”
Brief: The band and I where looking at lots of 50's and 60's movie posters for inspiration and I quite liked the idea of creatiing a poster for the “best film you've never seen” in keeping with the cinematic nature of the songs and thier content as an imaginary soundtrack. I took 500 or more photos of the band in the studio and their equipment to create the final collage. I wanted to create something that at first glance appears quite simple and elegant but then on closer inspection had lots of levels and depth - just like the music
Role: Art direction, Photography, Illustration & Design.

Description: Design for the Shack Single “Cup Of Tea”
Brief: The protagonist of the song suspects his cups of tea are being spiked with LSD so I wanted to create something that at fisrt glance seems totally inocuous but om closer inspection has a slightly darker and more sinister undertone.
The solution - A cup of tea with a strange roscharch type image in the tea leaves. Everybody sees something slightly different in it.
Role: Art direction, Photography & Design.

Description: Shack single “Tie Me Down”
Brief: The song documents various sexual restraint techniques between two consenting adults involving ties and granny knots. Although it could be interpereted as rather kinky subject matter the band always maintained it was more about innocence and trust. The childlike illustration was born from the desire to try and emphazise the trust and innocence of the sentiment in the song.
Role: Art direction, Illustration & Design.

Description: Web Design for Shack album launch
Brief: Web design to coincide with the bands album release. The site was designed to tie in with the themes and ideas in the rest of the artwork and video. The site is built in CSS and XHTML and features a style switcher to change the design.
Role: Art direction, Photography & Design.

Various Projects: Web, Video & Motion Graphics. _Summer 2003 / _Winter_2005

Description: Video for Space's single “20 million miles from earth”.
Brief: My first animated video. The video features dancing skeleton astronauts and probably the worlds first skeleton love affair. The band where in for about 10 seconds while I took photos of them. It then took me about 4 weeks to complete the animation in Flash which I now realise was probably the worst way to do it!
Role: Art Direction, Direction & Animation.

Description: Web Design for the Band The Most Terrifying Thing
Brief: Design and Develope a site for the release of the bands forthcoming album “Victoriana”. The band wanted an old music hall / freakshow kind of feel. With new media content, music player and images.
Role: Design, Development & Animation.
